YEREVAN, May 19. /TASS/. Armenia hasn’t turned down a meeting with Azerbaijan and is ready to start work of a commission on border delimitation and security, Vaan Unanya, a spokesman for the Amenian Foreign Ministry, said on Thursday.

He was responding to a statement by Azeri President Ilham Aliyev that Yerevan twice rejected meetings for border delimitation.

"The Armenian side remains committed to the implementation of the agreements that were reached," the spokesman said. "Accordingly, the Armenian side didn’t cancel or decline any meeting."

"As part of the agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries in Sochi and Brussels, the Armenian side is still ready to start the work of the commissions," the official said.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that during negotiations with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev on April 6 in Brussels, a decision was made to establish a commission on border delimitation and security, the composition of which should be approved by the end of April this year.

Pashinyan also discussed delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with Russian President Vladimir Putin during an official visit to Russia on April 19-20.
