"The faction of the ‘Opposition Platform - For Life’ was officially liquidated," he blogged.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced that the activity of some opposition parties, allegedly linked to Russia, including the Opposition Platform was suspended for the period that martial law was in place. The decision to suspend the activity of the party’s faction was revealed at a meeting of Verkhovna Rada (parliament) on April 14.
The faction’s lawmakers set up a new parliamentary group called Platform for Life and Peace. It brings together 25 people and is led by one of the leaders of the suspended party, Yury Boiko. He said the group would work "to ensure the security and sovereignty of Ukraine in its internationally recognized borders" and that it was ready for constructive cooperation with other factions and groups.
