Foreign envoys attend Russia’s Victory Parade on Moscow’s Red Square
This year, Russia’s Victory Parade on Moscow’s Red Square involved 11,000 troops and 131 items of military and special hardware
MOSCOW, May 9. /TASS/. Envoys and senior diplomats of some foreign states were present at the military parade on Moscow’s Red Square to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s Victory over Nazi Germany in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.
The diplomatic staff of mostly Middle Eastern and African countries watched the military parade on Moscow’s Red Square from the reviewing stands. Some of the diplomas wore national outfits. The foreign guests attending the military parade on Moscow’s Red Square included Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mehmet Samsar and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Moscow Shafqat Ali Khan.
Before the commencement of the military parade, Ambassador of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) to Russia Rodion Miroshnik congratulated citizens on Victory Day from Red Square.
