External factors do not affect China-Russia cooperation — Chinese envoy
The two sides to continue to promote cooperation in this field in the spirit of mutual benefit and win-win
MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. Cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in the scientific and technical sphere is not influenced by external factors, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said in an interview with TASS.
"Bilateral cooperation in science and technology spheres is developing according to the pattern of scientific and technological innovation, at the same time it is being carried out independently without other factors' influence. The two sides will continue to promote cooperation in this field in the spirit of mutual benefit and win-win," he said.
When asked whether Beijing intends to increase the supply of high-tech goods to Russia amid anti-Russian sanctions, the ambassador stressed that high-tech trade between the two countries proceeds according to the plan, taking into consideration the laws of the market and market demand. "Practice has proved that China and Russia have great potential and broad prospects for cooperation in scientific and technological innovation. The Years of Russian-Chinese Scientific, Technical and Innovation Cooperation held in 2020-2021 were indeed very successful," Zhang Hanhui pointed out.
