BEIRUT, April 20. /TASS/. Israeli security forces invaded the grounds of the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem on Wednesday morning, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported.

According to its data, Israeli police also set up checkpoints in the Old City and on the roads leading to the mosque. They prevent many Arabs, especially young people, from entering the mosque for morning prayers.

There was no information about possible clashes between Israeli police and Arabs.

On the morning of April 15, there were clashes between the Arab population and Israeli security forces in and around the al-Aqsa Mosque. According to the Wafa news agency, 153 Arabs required medical treatment and 250 people were injured. Among the Israelis, eight were injured.
