DPR says its appeals to ICRC and UNHRC go unanswered
International human rights groups don’t react in any way to illegal actions by Ukraine, human rights commissioner of the DPR Darya Morozova noted
MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. Darya Morozova, the human rights commissioner of the Donetsk People’s Republic, on Wednesday said her office sent reports to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Human Rights Council to inform these organizations how Ukraine abused the rights of people in Donbass but they all went unanswered.
"We are now reaching out to international organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Human Rights [Council]," she said on Rossiya-24 television. "I’m informing them about human rights abuses on our territory, be that shelling, killing of people or tortures of our prisoners."
"I’d like certain feedback from them but, unfortunately, I haven’t received a single response to all my official requests," she continued.
Morozova also said international human rights groups don’t react in any way to illegal actions by Ukraine.
