Ukraine ignores requests for evacuation of foreign ships from Mariupol port — DPR
It was also stated that the Ukrainian military continued to block the vessels at the port
DONETSK, April 8. /TASS/. Ukraine keeps ignoring requests for the evacuation of foreign ships from the Mariupol port, DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova stated.
"According to our information, there are six foreign ships with foreign crew members onboard at the Mariupol port," she said, as cited by the Donetsk News Agency. "Those include nationals of Bulgaria, Syria, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Liberia and Egypt. Ukraine ignored the DPR authorities’ numerous requests for the evacuation of foreign ships and citizens. Donetsk currently has no way of checking if the crew members have disembarked or remain on board their ships," Nikonorova noted.
She also said that the Ukrainian military continued to block the vessels at the port.
According to earlier reports, the Donbass command ship of the Ukrainian Navy and the Turkish cargo ship Azburg were set on fire at the Mariupol port by the Ukrainian military.
