US sent first 100 Switchblade drones to Ukraine — Pentagon spokesman

WASHINGTON, April 6. /TASS/. The US has already shipped 100 AeroVironment Switchblade loitering munitions to Ukraine, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said during a briefing Wednesday.

According to the spokesman, the drones will be delivered to Ukraine soon or have probably been delivered already. He did not specify which type of Switchblade drones were shipped to Ukraine, but he noted that the US may send drones designed for elimination of tanks and armored vehicles.

Kirby also noted that US specialists trained a small group of Ukrainian soldiers who arrived to the US back in autumn in using these drones, adding that they will be able to return home and train other Ukrainian soldiers soon.
