UK flagrantly violated UN Security Council procedure regarding Bucha situation — envoy

London shows clearly what does the so-called new world order looks like, the order based on rules and based, it seems, on violation of all possible and impossible norms of international law, Dmitry Polyansky noted

UNITED NATIONS, April 4. /TASS/. The UK flagrantly violated the UN Security Council procedure by rejecting Russia’s request to hold a meeting on the events in Ukraine’s Bucha, First Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said in his Telegram channel.

"When violating, go all the way - apparently, this is the rule that our British colleagues are led by. Today, they once again flagrantly violated the rules of UN Security Council procedure and denied us an emergency Security Council meeting on the Ukrainian radicals’ provocation in Bucha," he said.

"By doing so, London shows clearly what does the so-called new world order looks like, the order based on rules and based, it seems, on violation of all possible and impossible norms of international law, treaties and any norms of civilized behavior at all," he added.

Polyansky announced that the Russian mission to the UN will provide its assessment of these actions during the special press conference on the Bucha provocation in UN headquarters in New York. The press conference will take place at 15:30 local time (22:30 Moscow time).

On April 3, Russian Ministry of Defense debunked Kiev’s accusations of murder of civilians in the town of Bucha, Kiev Region. The ministry stated that Russian forces have completely left Bucha on March 30 already, while "evidence of crimes" only appeared four days later, when Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) officers arrived in Bucha. The Ministry of Defense also underscored that, on March 31, Bucha Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk confirmed that there were no Russian forces in the town, without mentioning any shot civilians. Russian Foreign Minister called the situation in Bucha a "fake news attack.".
