China-Russia relations have withstood new tests by changes in the international situation since the beginning of the year and have shown a solid development trend, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Tunxi (Anhui Province, East China).
"Since the beginning of this year, Sino-Russian relations have withstood new tests by changes in the international situation, maintained the right direction, and demonstrated a solid development trend," he said.

The Chinese foreign minister also said he was ready to work together with his old friend Sergey Lavrov to promote the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries to take China-Russia relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation to a new higher level in a new era.
