WARSAW, March 24. /TASS/. The Polish Foreign Ministry may deport the Russian ambassador from the country, Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz said on Thursday in an interview with Poland’s RMF radio station.
"It is possible in the future," he said in response to a question whether an expulsion of Russian Ambassador Sergey Andreyev was possible. "However, there is no such decision at the moment. But this decision may be made in the future."
Russian Ambassador to Poland Andreyev was summoned on early Wednesday by the Polish Foreign Ministry, where he was handed a note ordering the expulsion of 45 Russian diplomats on alleged espionage charges, according to Warsaw.
Andreyev said earlier that diplomatic relations between the countries remained in force and the Russian Embassy in Poland continued with its work. All 45 diplomats subjected to deportation must leave the country by late Monday, March 28.
