CAIRO, March 10. /TASS/. The League of Arab States (LAS) remains committed to the principle of keeping sovereignty and independence of countries and believes the diplomatic solution will be the only way out of the crisis in Ukraine, the League said in its statement posted after the 157th session of the regional community at the foreign ministers level.

"We reiterate commitment of Arab states to principles of international law and the UN Charter, which are based on preserving sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of states," LAS said. "We point to the need of working on the soonest possible achievement of a diplomatic solution that is viewed by the Council of Foreign Ministers as the only way out of this crisis, which will help to save life of innocent people and prevent worsening of the humanitarian situation that is tragic without that," the League noted.
