Turkish leader expects ceasefire after talks between Russia and Ukraine

ANKARA, March 9. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed hope that a possible meeting between Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov of Russia and Dmitry Kuleba of Ukraine will lead to the establishment of a ceasefire in Kiev.
"I hope that tomorrow, the first meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian top diplomats will take place and open the door for establishing permanent ceasefire," the president noted.
The talks between Lavrov and Kuleba are scheduled for March 10 on the sidelines of the diplomatic forum in Antalya. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will also attend the meeting. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the upcoming meeting of ministers was very significant for the talks between Moscow and Kiev.
