Remarks about potential Russia-NATO clashes unacceptable — Kremlin spokesman
There were remarks made by various representatives at various levels regarding potential conflicts and even collisions, clashes between NATO and Russia, Dmitry Peskov noted
MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Remarks about a potential clash between Russia and NATO are unacceptable, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists Monday.
Commenting on the recent remark made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said that top NATO officials make aggressive statements towards Russia, the spokesman noted: "There were remarks made by various representatives at various levels regarding potential conflicts and even collisions, clashes between NATO and Russia."
"We consider it totally unacceptable, we consider even such remarks to be totally unacceptable," Peskov underscored.
"I will not name the authors of such remarks, although it was the UK Foreign Secretary," he noted.
He refrained from telling whether a threat of such direct clash between Russia and NATO exists.
"I’ll leave it without comments," Peskov said.
