Moldova’s prime minister likely to introduce state of emergency due to gas shortage

The existing leverage are not enough to overcome the crisis in the energy sector, Natalia Gavrilitsa noted

CHISINAU, October 22. /TASS/. Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa is calling a commission on emergency situations to introduce a state of emergency due to gas shortages.

"Immediately after this briefing, the Emergency Situations Commission will be appointed to make several decisions. <...> We will ask the parliament and the government to declare a state of emergency. The existing leverage are not enough to overcome the [crisis] in the energy sector," the prime minister said at a briefing on Friday.
