Ukraine’s Zelensky visits contact line in Donbass

While at the army positions, Zelensky stated the need for rotation of senior officers

KIEV, February 11. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky visited the troops deployed on the contact line in Donbass Thursday, the presidential press service announced Thursday.

"During the working trip to the Donetsk Region, President Vladimir Zelensky visited the contact line in the area of operation of the joint forces. The head of state familiarized himself with the operative situation in several hundreds of meters from the contact line and talked to the servicemen," the announcement says.

While at the army positions, Zelensky stated the need for rotation of senior officers.

"It is important that the senior officer staff is in the trenches. We talked with the Armed Forces commander Ruslan Khomchak that a rotation of the senior officer staff must happen, so that they could constantly visit our guys at the front line," he said.

Earlier on Thursday, Zelensky’s office disclosed that the president arrived to the Donetsk Region with a working trip. He is accompanied by G7 Ambassadors to Ukraine.
