Pakistan fires about 40 artillery shells into Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province — agency

According to the Afghan news agency, 38 artillery shells exploded in the Goshta District of northeastern Nangarhar Province

MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. Around 40 artillery shells have been fired from Pakistan into Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province located on the border between the two states, Pajhwok News Agency reported Thursday.

According to the agency, 38 artillery shells exploded in the Goshta District of northeastern Nangarhar Province. No reports of victims or destruction have emerged so far.

On Tuesday, Afghanistan’s 1TV informed that the Pakistani army launched 50 missiles into the Kunar Province in eastern Afghanistan. Then, Kunar Governor Mohammad Iqbal Saeed pointed out that the Sheltan District on the border with Pakistan had been targeted. The governor also informed that significant material damage had been caused to the district’s residents. He failed to provide information on possible injuries among local civilians as a result of the shelling.
