MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Reports that a Swedish diplomat was detained at an unauthorized rally in Moscow are untrue, a Swedish embassy official told TASS.

"The Swedish embassy in Moscow strongly denies reports that a Swedish diplomat was detained in connection with protest activities in Moscow," the official said.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier that a Swedish embassy employee had attended an unauthorized rally. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov pointed to that fact at a meeting with Swedish top diplomat Ann Linde on Tuesday.
