SEOUL, March 2. / TASS /. North Korea launched two unidentified shells, in the direction of the Sea of Japan, the South Korean Committee of Chiefs of Staff reported on Monday.

According to the agency, launches were made from the area of the city of Wonsan.

This is the first such launch since the beginning of 2020. In December last year, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un announced that his country would soon introduce new strategic weapons.
