Zelensky defeating Poroshenko in all Ukrainian regions, shows national exit poll

In particular, Zelensky won support of 87.7% of voters in Ukrainian eastern regions

KIEV, April 21. /TASS/. Results of Ukraine’s National Exit Poll indicate that Candidate from the Servant of the People party, showman Vladimir Zelensky, is defeating incumbent President Pyotr Poroshenko in Sunday’s runoff presidential elections in all regions of the country.

According to the results released immediately after the closure of polling stations, Zelensky won support of 87.7% of voters in Ukrainian eastern regions while Poroshonko was supported by 11.2% of voters.

Meanwhile, in the country’s western regions, 57% of voters supported Zelensky and 41.3% cast their voters for Poroshenko.

In central and southern regions, Zelensky won 70.3% and 85.4% of votes respectively. Poroshenko scored 28% of votes in central regions and only 13.4% - in southern regions.

More than 15,000 voters were polled, with an error of 2.5% About 74% of respondents answered the questions.

The poll was organized by Alexander Razumkov’s Ukrainian Center for Economic and Political Studies, the Ilk Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Fund and the Kiev International Institute of Sociology.
