UN special envoy to take part in Syria talks

Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry earlier said that among participants in the talks will be delegations of guarantor countries
NUR-SULTAN, April 17. /TASS/. UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen will take part in the next round of talks on Syria in Nur-Sultan scheduled for April 25-26, spokesman for Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry Aybek Smadiyarov told TASS on Wednesday.
"We expect UN Special Envoy Pedersen to participate," Smadiyarov said.
Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry earlier said that among participants in the talks will be delegations of guarantor countries - Iran, Russia, and Turkey, as well as representatives of the Syrian government and opposition groups. Representatives of UN and Jordan will take part in consultations as observers.
