Settlements in three Syrian regions shelled by militants over last 24 hours
Militants from the Idlib de-escalation zone shelled settlements in the provinces of Idliba, Latakia and Aleppo
MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. Militants from the Idlib de-escalation zone have repeatedly shelled the inhabited localities in the Syrian regions of Idlib, Latakia and Aleppo in the past 24 hours, Major General Viktor Kupchishin, chief of the Russian Center for reconciliation of the conflicting sides in Syria, told reporters on Saturday.
"In the past 24 hours, militants have attacked settlements of Safsafa and Jubb al-Mgara in the Latakia province, Abu-Omar (twice) in the Idlib province, Tel Hamra and Hara in the Aleppo province," he said.
According to the general, as many as 31,545 houses, 156 health and 843 educational facilities have been renovated, while 1,031 kilometers of motor roads have been rebuilt as of April 13.
The Russian reconciliation center continues to fulfill assigned tasks after the completion of the military campaign in Syria. The center’s officers regularly travel around the country's liberated areas to assess the humanitarian situation. The main efforts of the Russian military are now focused on assistance to the refugees returning to their homes and evacuation of civilians from de-escalation zones.
