Ukraine’s Interior Ministry registers 25 complaints about violations at election

Over 29 million Ukrainian citizens are officially listed as eligible voters to cast their votes for 39 candidates running for president

KIEV, March 31. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Interior Ministry has received 25 complaints about election law violations, with seven of them linked to illegal campaigning at polls.

"On March 31, police received 25 statements related to the election process," the ministry tweeted. "These facts are related to illegal campaigning (7), vote buying (1), taking photos of ballot papers (2) and an attempt to remove a voting paper from a ballot station (1)."

The campaign headquarters of presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky, who represents the Servant of the People Party, registered nearly 50 complaints about violations. "The most often cases are vote buying, "ghost voters" on the lists and a ban to use another pen," the candidate’s team wrote on its Facebook page.

On Sunday, Ukraine holds presidential election. Over 29 million Ukrainian citizens are officially listed as eligible voters to cast their votes for 39 candidates running for president.
