MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. The European countries are ignoring Caracas’ requests for purchase of food and medicine, Venezuelan Ambassador in Russia Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa said on Monday.
"Our president Nicolas Maduro told the European countries: "Alright, we’ll receive humanitarian aid from you, let us buy food and medicine from you, we will pay." So far, there has been no response, because they are not interested in the aid itself, they are interested in other moments," the diplomat noted.
He expressed his confidence that Caracas would find partners who would provide Venezuela with humanitarian aid. In order to achieve this, the country has to overcome the financial blockade, he added.
