SOCHI, February 14. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered to hold the next trilateral summit on Syria in Turkey during Thursday’s talks in Sochi.
"I offer to hold the next summit, the fifth one, on Syria in Turkey," he said on the outcomes of the talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
According to Erdogan, "the Astana process is not an alternative to the talks in Geneva." "We are trying to make Astana really function when Geneva does not," he stressed.
The previous summit of the leaders of three countries took place in September of last year in Tehran.
