Russian, US diplomats discuss situation on Korean Peninsula
The parties exchanged views on the political and diplomatic process of resolving the entire range of issues of the peninsula, including the nuclear one, the Russian Foreign Ministry said
MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large Oleg Burmistrov and Mark Lambert, Special Representative for North Korean Policy at the US Department of State, have discussed the situation on the Korean Peninsula, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Monday.
"The parties exchanged views on the political and diplomatic process of resolving the entire range of problems of the Korean Peninsula, including the nuclear one," the ministry said. "They pointed to the importance of further deepening the coordination of efforts of all the parties concerned."
The US Department of State's representative was also received by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov.
The US Embassy in Moscow earlier reported that Lambert’s talks with the Russian diplomats were frank and constructive.
