Twelve out of twenty-four Ukrainian sailors detained in the Kerch Strait for breaching Russia’s borders have been arrested for two months

SIMFEROPOL, November 27. /TASS/. Roman Mokryuk, commander of the Ukrainian small gunboat "Berdyansk" detained in the Kerch Strait for breaching Russia’s borders, has been arrested for two months by a Simferopol court, TASS reports from the courtroom.

"The court ruled to grant the motion to detain [Mokryuk] for 1 month 29 days - until January 29, 2019," the judge stated.

During court proceedings, Mokryuk informed that he served as commander of the Berdyansk gunboat with the rank of lieutenant.

Twelve out of twenty-four Ukrainian sailors detained in the Kerch Strait for breaching Russia’s borders have been arrested for two months.

The sailors placed under arrest are: Andrei Oprysko, Sergei Tsybizov, Yuri Budzylo, Vladimir Tereshchenko, Viktor Bespalchenko, Vladimir Varymez, Mikhail Vlasyuk, Bogdan Golovash, Sergei Chuliba, Vladislav Kostyshin, Sergei Popov, Roman Mokryuk.
