MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev, has noted a high level of Russian-Chinese strategic partnership and the closeness of evaluations of the situation in the world. He said it, according to the Russian Security Council press service, during consultations with member of China’s Central Politburo and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Guo Shengkun.

"We have overlapping or at least similar approaches to major global and regional problems, common evaluations of the modern situation in the world and prospects for building a polycentric world," the Russian Security Council secretary stressed.

According to the press service, the sides made a survey of the current state of cooperation between relevant ministries and determined areas of further Russian-Chinese cooperation between law enforcement authorities and intelligence services, including in the anti-terrorism area. "In particular, issues of cooperation in countering the financing of terrorism and laundering of illegal revenues were studied," the Security Council noted.

Patrushev and Guo Shengkun also discussed issues of cooperation in the sphere of the provision of international information security.

"The sides shared opinions on the situation in Afghanistan and Central Asian countries," the press service added.
