MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Militants have shelled the outskirts of Aleppo four times in the past 24 hours from the Idlib de-escalation zone, leaving two Syrian soldiers and one civilian wounded, Lieutenant General Vladimir Savchenko, head of the Russian center for reconciliation of conflicting sides in Syria, told reporters on Wednesday.
"Over the past 24 hours, four incidents of shelling on the northeastern outskirts of the city of Aleppo have been registered. Two Syrian servicemen and one civilian were injured in shellings," he said.
Savchenko added that the Russian military carried out a humanitarian mission in Rayan, Aleppo Province, handing out 450 food sets and a tonne of fresh bread to local civilians.
The Russian reconciliation center continues to fulfill assigned tasks after the completion of the military campaign in Syria. The center’s officers regularly travel around the country's liberated areas to assess the humanitarian situation. The main efforts of the Russian military are now focused on assistance to the refugees returning to their homes and evacuation of civilians from de-escalation zones.
