South Korean president plans to meet with Putin during summit in Singapore
The last meeting between Moon Jae-in and Vladimir Putin was held in Moscow in June 2018
SEOUL, November 7. /TASS/. South Korean President Moon Jae-in plans to hold negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the upcoming visit to Singapore, the South Korean presidential administration reported on Wednesday.
"President Moon Jae-in will hold negotiations with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Russian President Vladimir Putin," the Blue House said in a statement. It did not specify the dates of the contacts. According to the statement, the South Korean leader may also meet with US Vice-President Michael Pence and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Moon Jae-in will arrive in Singapore on November 13 to attend the Korea-ACEAN summit, ASEAN Plus Three Summit and some other events led by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and, along with a summit of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
Vladimir Putin also plans to visit Singapore to attend the East Asia Summit within ASEAN.
On November 17, Moon Jae-in will arrive in Papua New Guinea where a summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be held.
The last meeting between Moon Jae-in and Vladimir Putin was held in Moscow in June 2018.
