Trump lambasts prosecution team as ‘gang of 13 angry Democrats’
Trump and key members of his team have been repeatedly rejecting all the accusations concerning collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia
MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has commented on the pending investigation of alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US elections and collusion of Trump’s team with Moscow by calling US Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team "a gang of thirteen angry Democrats" in a string of tweets published on Friday.
"Arrived back in Washington last night from a very emotional reopening of a major U.S. Steel plant in Granite City, Illinois, only to be greeted with the ridiculous news that the highly conflicted Robert Mueller and his gang of 13 Angry Democrats obviously cannot find Collusion," Trump wrote.
The FBI, as well as the intelligence committees of the US Senate and House of Representatives, have been handling the investigation into Russia’s alleged interference into the 2016 US presidential election.
In May, the US Department of Justice announced that former FBI Chief Robert Mueller had been appointed as special counsel to investigate alleged Russian interference.
Trump and key members of his team have been repeatedly rejecting all the accusations concerning collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Moscow has also been refuting these allegations.
