The Court has ruled that Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina must be paid 16,000 euros each, while Yekaterina Samutsevich must be paid 5,000 euros
MOSCOW, July 17. /TASS/. The European Court for Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that Russia is to pay a total of 37,000 euros to three members of the Pussy Riot punk band "in respect of non-pecuniary damage," as the court said in a statement published on its website on Tuesday.
The Court has ruled that Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina must be paid 16,000 euros each, while Yekaterina Samutsevich must be paid 5,000 euros. In addition, the court said that the Russian authorities must pay them another 11,760 euros to cover court costs.
