Lukashenko said Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner had been qualified the severity of the sentence thanks to his mother

ZHLOBIN, Gomel region, September 28 (Itar-Tass) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Uralkali new owners sought to work with Belarusians.

“There are a lot of those who wish to buy Uralkali’s assets. They give us a signal: let Belarusians wait for a little and we’ll be with you,” Lukashenko said on Saturday.

“Our union with Russia will only raise the price for potash fertilizers,” he added.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner had been qualified the severity of the sentence thanks to his mother.

“Let him thank his mother,” Lukashenko told journalists on Saturday.

He said it was Baumgartner’s mother who appealed to the Belarusian president three or four days ago to qualify the severity of the sentence.
