MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian female biathletes plan to file an appeal with the Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision made by the International Olympic Committee’s Disciplinary Commission to strip them of the Sochi Olympic medals, Yana Romanova, who won silver in the mixed relay event at the 2014 Olympics, told TASS.
On Monday, the International Olympic Committee banned five Russian athletes, including biathletes Romanova and Olga Vilukhina, from the Olympic Games and annulled their results achieved at the Sochi Olympics.
"What is going on now is a terrible injustice. Other athletes have already said a lot about it, one just wants to scream. We will definitely file an appeal with the CAS," Romanova said.
