The delivery of tickets, which is free of charge, will start in April 2017
MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Football fans will get their first opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2017 FIFA Confederations in Russia on November 8 via the Visa Pre-Sale, the world’s ruling football body said.
“The inventory on FIFA.com features tickets for all matches, including the final and the opening game, as well as the fixtures involving the Russian national team. Series of tickets for matches in each of the four Host Cities – Kazan, Moscow, Sochi and Saint Petersburg – will also go on sale,” FIFA said in a statement.
The price of group-stage tickets will start from 960 rubles ($15) in category 4 (exclusively for Russian residents) and from $70 in category 3 (all other fans), FIFA said, adding that during this pre-sale phase, which runs until 17 November, only Visa cards will be accepted as a means of payment.
The delivery of tickets, which is free of charge, will start in April 2017.
The first general sales phase will kick off on December 1, 2016 via FIFA.com and will run until January 19, 2017. During this and subsequent sales phases, several payment methods will be accepted, FIFA said.
"Excitement is building in Russia – the fact that more than one million people voted for the official mascot and the extremely high number of volunteer applications we have received for the FIFA Confederations Cup and the FIFA World Cup best demonstrate this. The exclusive Visa Ticket Pre-Sale is undoubtedly a great opportunity for fans to secure tickets early for all matches of a tournament which, as well as hosts Russia, will also feature the reigning world champions and six continental title holders. As such, there is sure to be some great football action next June/July in Russia,” said FIFA Chief Commercial Officer, Philippe Le Floc’h.
The Official Draw for the FIFA Confederations Cup will take place in Russia’s Kazan on November 26.
The FIFA Confederations Cup will be held for the first time in Russia, between June 17 and July 2, 2017. To date, the following teams have qualified: Russia (host), Germany (2014 FIFA World Cup winners), Australia (AFC Asian Cup winners), Chile (Copa América winners), Mexico (CONCACAF Gold Cup winners), New Zealand (OFC Nations Cup winners) and Portugal (UEFA EURO winners). The CAF (Confederation of African Football) champions will be decided on February 12, 2017.
