MOSCOW, August 21. /TASS/. The wages of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) players will be dependent on their national currencies, KHL head Dmitry Chernyshenko said on Friday.
Last year the clubs spoke against the indexation of players’ wages despite the unstable ruble rate.
"That decision was made unilaterally," Chernyshenko said. "I am grateful to hockey stars who suffered most."
"In future we will be orientating to the national currency and will not worry about the [currency] fluctuations," Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
