Ghanaian player Frimpong was handed on Wednesday a two-match ban after raising a finger to the crowd during last week’s clash with FC Spartak Moscow
ST.PETERSBURG, July 24. /TASS/. The Russian Football Union (RFU) has prepared a response to the FIFA request to provide details of last week’s incident involving FC Ufa midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, a RFU official said on Friday.
Ghanaian player Frimpong was handed on Wednesday a two-match ban after raising a finger to the crowd during last week’s clash with FC Spartak Moscow.
Frimpong earlier complained he was subjected to monkey chants as Ufa played 2-2 with Spartak in an opening match of the Russian football championship.
"The RFU has prepared a response to the FIFA inquiry into the Frimpong incident. The papers have not been sent yet as they are being translated. I think this will happen soon," Alexander Kuzmin, the secretary of the RFU committee for control and discipline, told TASS.
