Germany's Nico Rosberg set the fastest time of 1:42.311s, followed by Britain's Lewis Hamilton (1:42.376s) and Jenson Button (1:42.507s)
SOCHI, October 10. /TASS/. Russia’s Formula One racer Daniil Kvyat finished seventh in the first practice session of his home inaugural Sochi GP on Friday.
The 20-year old racer of Toro Rosso was 0.853 seconds behind Germany's Nico Rosberg who set the fastest time of 1:42.311s.
Rosberg is followed by Britain's Lewis Hamilton (1:42.376s) and Jenson Button (1:42.507s).
The Russian Grand Prix is held at the racing track located near the Olympic Village in the coastal area of Sochi. The contract to include Russia in the calendar of F1 racing for the 2014-2020 period was signed in 2010 in Sochi by then-Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin and F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone.
