SOCHI, September 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The Western sanctions will not affect Formula-1 and other major international sport events in Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said on Saturday.
“The sanctions will not affect the racing. The International Automobile Federation has confirmed that all teams will take part in the competition. Sport is outside politics and this principle must be observed,” he said.
Kozak said there was no risk of having the scheduled sport events in Russia cancelled because of the Western sanctions.
