Chilean soccer fans expelled from Brazil following scandalous trick at stadium

The Chilean fans broke into the press center of the stadium approximately an hour before the game began and crashed everything inside

RIO DE JANEIRO, June 19. /ITAR-TASS/. The Brazilian authorities have expelled 85 soccer fans from Chile for violating public order. The Chilean fans who had no tickets attempted to break through to the press block of the stadium to watch the game of their national team, which beat Spain 2-0 overnight to June 19.

The Chilean fans broke into the press center of the stadium approximately an hour before the game began and crashed everything inside. It took the stadium security service almost half an hour to normalize the situation at the press center.

The fans had gathered near the Maracana stadium at around 11:00 a.m. local time in a bid to get tickets to the Chile vs. Spain match. However, when all hopes to get tickets to the game were abandoned the fans staged a trick, pretending that one of them fainted, which helped deceive the stadium security guards and gave the fans a chance to break through to the stadium.

Heaps of furniture was found broken or overturned on the stadium premises after the fans were gone. Around 85 fans who were detained for violation of public order, have been expelled from Brazil.
