Maria Sharapova of Russia and Simona Halep of Romania have advanced to the final of this year's French Open tennis tournament at Roland Garros in Paris.

Maria Sharapova met Canada's Eugenie Bouchard in the semifinal and won 4:6, 7:5, 6:2.

Simona Halep beat Andrea Petkovic of Germany 6-2 7-6 (7-4) in their semifinal.

Maria Sharapova is one of the ten tennis players winning each of the Grand Slam tournaments in different years. She won at Wimbledon (2004), in 2006 she won the US Open and in 2012 she won the French Open.
