Russia’s Alina Prokopyeva wins Nagano Marathon

TOKYO, April 20, /ITAR-TASS/. Alina Prokopyeva of Russia won the Nagano Marathon race in Japan on Sunday, having shown a result of two hours, 30 minutes and 56 seconds.
This is the second victory of Russian athletes in the Nagano Marathon. In 2013, the winner was Natalia Puchkova.
Ukrainian athlete Sergei Lebed was the first among male runners with a result 2:13:56.
The Nagano Olympic Commemorative Marathon is an annual marathon road race, which takes place in mid-April in Nagano, Japan. It is an IAAF Bronze Label Road Race competition. The Nagano Marathon has races for both elite and amateur runners. It is named in honour of the 1998 Winter Olympics which were held in Nagano.
