Russia's hope for the gold Olympic award in ladies' single figure skating Yulia Lipnitskaya and her teammate, Adelina Sotnikova, have been seeded in the fifth, last ice rehearsal group to perform at the Sochi Olympics. Yulia Lipnitskaya has the start number 25; Adelina Sotnikova is the last one to perform her short program on February 19.

The main adversaries of the Russian skaters are Kim Yu-Na from South Korea and Mao Asada from Japan, who will perform under numbers 17 and 30, respectively.
