Rosa Khutor alpine skiing resort will be open for tourists no later than March 22

SOCHI, February 17.  /ITAR-TASS/. There's no doubt that the Winter Olympic Games will drive Rosa Khutor alpine centre to future commercial success, the ski resort's first deputy director general, Sergei Belikov, told a news conference.

“It took six years to build this centre,” he said on Monday. “We have managed to create Russia’s best world-level ski resort capable of receiving up to 10,000 people a day. Of course, we will need some time to make it work at full speed after the Olympics. It will be open for tourists no later than March 22.”

“We consider Rosa Khutor as a future sports ground for Alpine skiing and snowboarding but we will discuss this issue with the International Ski Federation.”

Rosa Khutor will provide services for all categories of tourists, Belyakov said.

“We have an opportunity to differentiate from the point of view of prices for our services,” he said. “Life will show what category of tourists will come here.
