Belorussian biathlete Darya Domracheva wins women's 10 km pursuit

Norwegian Tora Berger came second and Teja Gregorin from Slovenia wins the bronze

MOSCOW, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Belorussian biathlete Darya Domracheva has won gold in women’s 10 km pursuit at the XXII Olympic Winter Games in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi, finishing the distance in 29 minutes 30.7 seconds with a single missed shot.

Norway’s Tora Berger secured silver (30:08.3; shots missed: 1), and Slovenia’s Teja Gregorin received the bronze medal (30:12.7; shots missed: 1)

Russia’s Olga Vilukhina finished seventh (30:32.9; shots missed: 1).

Domracheva was born on August 3, 1986, in the Belarusian capital Minsk. She grew up in the Russian town of Nyagan in West Siberia.

Domracheva took bronze at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in women’s 15km individual race. She is the 2013 World Cup champion in mass start and the 2012 World Cup champion in pursuit.
