Russian female curling team has beat 7-4 Denmark in a starting Round Robin match at the Winter Olympics on Monday
SOCHI, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s women curling team defeated on Tuesday the United States team 9-6, clinching second victory in Round Robin stage at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia’s Black Sea resort city of Sochi.
The Russians, coached by Thomas Lips and Svetlana Kalalb, opened their Sochi Olympic curling marathon on Monday with 7-4 victory over Denmark.
The next challenge for the Russian women curlers will be against the Chinese team, which won the bronze at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada’s Vancouver.
