Lipnitskaya says she does not feel as an Olympic champion so far
On Tuesday, Lipnitskaya is leaving for Moscow which has better conditions for training than Sochi
SOCHI, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s youngest Olympic figure-skating champion Yulia Lipnitskaya, 15, told Itar-Tass after the decoration ceremony on Monday that she had done everything to ensure Russia’s victory in team’s skating.
“I liked the teams’ Olympic tournament very much, and the medal is beautiful,” Lipnitskaya said after the decoration ceremony at the Sochi Olympic Park. However, she added that she could not feel as an Olympic champion before an individual skating tournament starting next week.
“I will be able to mediate on that subject only after individual competitions,” Lipnitskaya emphasized.
On Tuesday, Lipnitskaya is leaving for Moscow which has better conditions for training than Sochi.
“In Sochi, I have to train twice a day for 30 minutes. That’s certainly not enough. But in Moscow, we have plenty of ice. Besides, I am used to training there. That is why we are flying to Moscow. We will return to Sochi on February 17,” Yulia explained.
She said she was not afraid of long flights even if they lasted for ten hours.
“It takes me ten minutes to adapt,” Lipnitskaya said in conclusion.
