Russian Freestyler Smyshlyayev wins bronze medal in mogul

Canadian Alex Bilodeau won the golden medal

MOSCOW, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Freestyler Alexander Smyshlyaev has won the bronze medal in men’s mogul gaining 24.34 points.

This is the sixth medal for the Russian team at the Sochi Olympics. Russia now has one gold, two silvers and three bronze medals.

Canadian Alex Bilodeau won the golden medal in mogul, coming first in mogul superfinals with 26.31 points. Another Canadian freestyler, Mikael Kingsbury came second.

Alexander Smyshlyaev was born March 16, 1987 in the town of Lysva, Perm Region. He is 3-fold champion of Russia in mogul (2009, 2010 and 2013) and in dual mogul (2010, 2011 and 2013). He took part in Olympic Games in 2006 and in 2010.
