Russian men’s curling team to play aggressively with Denmark
Great Britain beat Russia 4-7 in a starting Olympic match on Monday
SOCHI, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian men’s curling team plans to play the first fiddle in Round Robin Session 2 with Denmark on Monday agressively, skip of Russian men’s curling team Andrey Drozdov told reporters on Monday.
Great Britain beat Russia 4-7 in a starting Olympic match on Monday. Denmark will be the next rival for Russian male curlers. The match will begin at 19:00 Moscow time (15:00 GMT) on Monday.
“Generally speaking, all rivals are equal,” Drozdov said. “Only one or two teams are favourites. We can compete with others, including Denmark. We will dictate our conditions of play and will compete in a match with them. We began a match with Great Britain in the same style, but we failed to resist the play with them,” the Russian captain noted.
