MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. /TASS/. Russian tennis player Tatiana Prozorova withdrew from the semifinal of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Singapore.

Earlier, TASS reported that Prozorova defeated China’s Wang Xinyu in the quarterfinals. The Russian then played in the doubles tournament, during which she was hit hard in the head by a ball and was unable to finish the match.

Prozorova, 22, is ranked 180th by the WTA. She has no titles at tournaments held under the organization’s auspices. In 2023, Prozorova qualified for the US Open but failed to advance beyond the first round.

The Singapore tournament is a WTA 500 event played on hard courts. Its prize fund exceeds $1.2 million.
